Pastels has become a favourite medium amongst the Art School students. It's a beautiful medium that has the control and familiarity of drawing but mix-abilty and layering of colours like you would in painting. For this reason it's an excellent first foray into colour. 

During this workshop you will learn to how use the pastels, layering them & colour mixing with them. We will do some warm up & templates to teach you how the pastels work and for the remainder of the day will spend time on 1 A3 piece. 

Covered in this workshop:

• How to use pastel pencils 
• How to layer pastel pencils & colour mix
• Introduction to colour mixing theory and methods to use while pastel-ing
• How to use soft pastels with the pastel pencils 
• How to create realism in your drawing
• A method for drawing in correct perspective

We will break for lunch during this workshop so feel free to BYO lunch.
